About Me
- Name: Nick R. Scalia
- Location: New Haven, CT, United States
Hi, my name's Nick, and I'm a film-aholic.
My lifelong obsession with the movies began with a clunky old VCR and weekly trips to the local cineplex with my dad; it will someday end with the all-day Paul Thomas Anderson retrospective I'm planning in lieu of my funeral.
In the meantime, I've tried to healthily channel my all-consuming love of everything film-related, earning a B.A. in cinema (and working toward the next level so someday I can hopefully teach it myself), trying my hand at scripting and making my own films, and writing about movies (among other things) as a staffer for the now sadly defunct PLAY Magazine.
Nowadays, I'm an Online Content Producer at the New Haven Register, so how better to continue sharing my passion for all things cinematic than by regularly posting right here on the good ol’ inter-webs?
